Tree of Life: After the Manner of the flesh

8 "Spirit said unto me: Look! And I looked and beheld a tree; and it was like unto the tree which my father had seen; and the beauty thereof was far beyond, yea, exceeding of all beauty; and the whiteness thereof did exceed the whiteness of the driven snow.

9 And it came to pass after I had seen the tree, I said unto the Spirit: I behold thou hast shown unto me the tree which is precious above all." 1 Nephi 11:8-9

The Spirit said unto me: "Look!"

And I looked and beheld a tree.

"What do you see?"

I said unto the Spirit: "A tree."

And it came to pass that the Spirit said unto me: "Look!

Again!"

And I looked again

and this time I saw

and will forever see,

the fertile tree that lay in front of me.

Her branches stretched wide-

The tree of life.

Womb bearing her fruit-

The Son of God.

And when her fruit was ripe

he descended from her branches

and was brought to her chest,

where She flowed Milk and honey-

living waters-

until he was well fed.

Nourishment and wisdom

where babe meets breast.

I saw her bear The Son.

Then I saw Her bear The Son,

a daughter,

all of humanity,

then me.

I saw every life

born of Her branches,

most precious and sweet.

Then The Spirit looked back at me

and said again,

“knowest thou, what you see?”

“Yes."

I said.

"She is the Tree.”
